We strongly recommend the use of this option to simplify the application process and to ensure a secure way to transfer all accurate data into the FAFSA application. Major Department of Education Changes Effective July 1, 2012
Effective July 1, 2012; new students without a high school diploma, GED or did not complete secondary school in a homeschool setting will not be eligible for Title IV funds (Financial Aid).
- Pell Grant Lifetime Eligibility Used (LEU)
The Department of Education (DOE) measures the Pell Grant Life Time Eligibility used for all students. The DOE has reduced the amount of semesters a student may receive a Pell Grant from up to 18 semesters (or its equivalent) to 12 semesters (or its equivalent).
