EPCC 40th Year Anniversary

On June 28, 1969, the citizens of the County of El Paso voted to create a Junior College District that would become El Paso Community College.  Forty years later, EPCC provides educational opportunities to over 30,000 students in over 130 career opportunities.  Throughout the Fall 2009 semester, we will feature pictures of articles on and interviews with important people and events covering EPCC’s past, present and future.

The County of El Paso proclaimed June 29, 2009 as “El Paso Community College 40th Anniversary Celebration Day.”  Present at the ceremony were from the left, Belen Robles, EPCC Board of Trustees member, Joe Foster, the first EPCC Board of Trustees Chairman (1969-1977), Dr. Richard Rhodes, EPCC President and Art Fierro, EPCC Board of Trustees Chairman.
